How Working Vision Works

Working Vision strives to improve the health and safety of workers in the developing world. Currently, we are focused on the prevention, screening, and treatment of work-related eye injuries. We do this by providing safety glasses (and education on their proper use), on-the-job eye exams, and surgical treatment of injuries.

Prevention

Participants in our workshops receive safety glasses and other protective equipment (like ear plugs and dust masks) along with education on how to use the equipment properly.

SCREENINg

Working Vision provides free eye screening exams for participants in our programs. We check for common ophthalmological problems, like refractive error, glaucoma, and cataracts.

TREATMENT

Without access to safety equipment at work, workers are easily susceptible to eye injuries. When these injuries occur, Working Vision provides surgical treatment.
